A Rooms Life
A ROOMS LIFE, 2020
Was a residencial work I did at Im Grafenhag Winterthur.
Constantly changing Interventions and installations with one Room, 14,82 sqm, plaster, chalk, paint, sponge, aluminium profile, table lamp, notebook, paper, photos, and the book „how to live together“ by Roland Barthes 420x354x255cm
A Rooms Life was part of the project „imagine a house“ in the curatorial project Im Grafenhag by: Jamira Estrada, Julia Hegi & Antonia Truninger
In the 3 months of residency I worked immersively out of the space. The room was my interlocutor. I was curious to make the room‘s experiences visible. Past, visions, present and future. Investigating the extent to which material has a life of its own and how this could find a form of expression through processual, very slow working interventions on my part. Unravelled dialogues between subjects and their relationships. During the time I was accompanied by selected terms which Roland Barthes discussed in his lecture „how to live together“ at the Collège de France in 1976/1977.
